-Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Violence, the word and the act.
With these words begins Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! , one of the key works of American trash directed by the legendary Russ Meyer, who would be responsible explore more sexual side of the genre and become the direct influence of filmmakers like Paul Morrissey or the great John Waters, who later would trash flag to unimagined heights.
The masterful sequence in which Meyer opened what is probably his best known work with Beyond the Valley of the Dolls is a wonderful hypnotic experience, where the voluptuous bodies of the three protagonists strippers dance before a group of sex-hungry men, who with shouts require more strength to the already frantic dance performed by the wildly attractive Lori Williams, Haji and Tura Satana, who after this film would become one of the quintessential femme fatale.
The superficial but powerful justification for the violence and sex, an unknown narrator recites the beginning of the tape, is the ideal pretext to give vent to this story about three women thirsting for violence, across the desert with their cars in search of thrills, sex and money.
Russ Meyer's obsession for women with large breasts and the power emanating from the feminine curves, probably inherited from the years he worked as a photographer for Playboy , is taken to its peak for these three women after killing a poor driver and his innocent bride kidnapping, stealing the money proposed that hides a boy and his father in an isolated cabin.
Filmed in black and white dirty and neglected, the film never leaves its frantic pace, where the rough action sequences, shot with total aplomb, only interspersed with scenes where the sexual explosion of sculptural characters excite play male characters who are in and out of the screen.
This little gem of the film is submerged at all times in a great soundtrack, composed by Paul Sawtell, Bert Shefter, Igo Kantor y los míticos Bostweeds , que interpretan la inolvidable canción principal del filme.
